Technogym, one of the world’s leading wellness and fitness company prepares for another successful year of their Let’s Move for a Better World campaign. Now in its third year, Technogym created LMFBW, a global initiative aimed at reducing obesity and sedentary lifestyles, by promoting wellness and bringing local communities together.
The LMFBW campaign will run from March 13-31, 2017. Each participating connected facility will accumulate MOVEs. The more MOVEs recorded, the greater the chance for facilities to impact wellness in their community and surrounding areas.
This year, more participants (clubs/facilities) will be able to donate Technogym equipment to an association of their choice through the updated 2017 Let’s Move for a Better World campaign awards system:
The below Canadian facilities will be participating in the challenge next month.
Gold’s Gym – Port Coquitlam, BC
Oakville YMCA – Oakville, ON
North Middlesex YMCA – Parkhill, ON
City Centre Community Centre – Richmond, BC
Timms Community Centre – Landley, BC
The campaign aims to fight obesity and sedentary lifestyles by engaging members, friends and family in ‘donating’ their physical activity to help the local community. We have some interesting detail and findings around both the global obesity problem and the impact that facilities have seen after running the program. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you’d like to see further detail and learn more.
