Fitness Industry Council of Canada (FIC) is dedicated to reflecting the diversity of our Country. FIC is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone in the fitness industry – all employees, members, and guests. This means that we each must recognize and appreciate the similarities among people by recognizing and appreciating the differences in culture, values, race, ethnic background, gender identity and expression, lifestyle, religion, and educational background.
FIC is committed to providing the tools and training in order to ensure we can promote a safe and inclusive environment for everyone in the fitness industry. We respect and follow all applicable human rights and privacy laws and ensure a safe and respectful workplace. As such, for FIC members, we have documents available which answer questions regarding diversity inclusion at clubs, as well as recommendations on how to respond to potential unfamiliar situations.
